Modeled after Bodhidharma (the founder of the Zen Buddhism), Daruma are seen as a symbol of perseverance and good luck. Please keep in mind that a Daruma is a talisman to remind you of your goals and to encourage you towards manifestation. Much in alignment with Bodhidharma’s teaching, the practitioner must do the work in the real world to set their goals into motion. Each Daruma is hand-crafted in ceremony at astrological junctures that align with your goal. The color and imagery are at the artist’s discretion. In the notes section of your order, please share the details of what you would like your Daruma to be a talisman for. For example: I want to feel grounded and confident in my creative practice; I want to file my taxes on time; I want to explore my love of cooking, etc. Please elaborate as much as you feel comfortable to do so, as it will give me more information to work on your custom Daruma. As the base of the Daruma is paper mache, you may burn them upon completing your goal or within the year if you’d like, or keep him to remind you of your ability to persevere.
